The chances are very good we do not control the lava but due to frequency of our lava tour we make every attempt to keep you updated as possible.  The volcano has a pulse which goes varies.  99% of the time when we operate our lava boat tours you will see lava.
So far in 3 decades of lava boating no boats have melted.  While the waters are warm in the area surrounding the lava ocean entry we do not feel that the heat effects the boats.

Kilauea Volcano has consistently erupted now for more then 30 years with very little interruptions however the ocean entry is a rare occasion only happening about 1/4 of the total eruption.
We want you to enjoy the ultimate volcano tour experience but your safety is utmost important to us all passengers will sign a release of liability waiver before boarding. If you have preexisting back, neck, recent surgeries or other conditions that could be aggravated by a bumpy boat ride then this tour is not for you.  Not recommended for expected mothers.  All passengers must be over the age of 4 years. If you have any questions please consult your physician before booking tour.   If captain feels you are at risk we reserve the right to refuse service for your safety.  All guest will have to climb a 8ft painters ladder to board vessel which also is our physical fitness requirement.
Always a good idea to prepare to get wet when on a boat so please bring a jacket and a spare change of clothes for after the tour so you can change into dry clothes if you get wet.  Remember to bring a camera fully charged, film or media, and a dry bag to keep all your special items.  Each seat is equipped with storage directly under you.  We recommend sneakers or slippers for shoes, no heels will be allowed.
